Bank statement to Excel
Every transaction in its own row with real dates and numbers, ready for filters and pivot tables.

A standard SWIFT MT940 statement: account (IBAN and currency), opening balance (:60F:), one :61: line per transaction with booking date, value date and amount, the description in the :86: field with the counterparty IBAN and name where available, and the closing balance (:62F:). We use the SWIFT character set and line lengths, so strict importers accept the file.
Accounting software rejects an MT940 file when the opening balance does not follow on from the previous import. BankToCSV takes the balances from the statement and checks that all transactions add up before you download. MT940 export is part of Business.

How it works
Download the statement as PDF from your online banking and drop it on the page. Nothing is uploaded.
Every transaction appears in a table with date, description and amount. We check the opening and closing balance for you.
Choose Excel, CSV, MT940, CAMT.053 or OFX and import the file into your spreadsheet or accounting software.
Bank statements show your income, your spending and your account number. That is why BankToCSV reads them inside your browser. The PDF is not uploaded – not to us and not to anyone else. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page has loaded.
We do not use tracking cookies or analytics.

Banks are replacing MT940 by CAMT.053. Most software reads both; when in doubt, choose what your software calls its bank import format.
